چکیده
Introduction:Treatment of hyperdivergent skeletal Class II is one the most challenging for orthodontists. With advent temporary anchorage devices, patients who previously had an indication orthognathic surgery may be favored with counter-clockwise rotation mandible, resulting from vertical control posterior teeth. Also, cases increased incisors display at rest benefit these biomechanics in anterior segment. Methodology and resources:This case report illustrates a successful treatment patient malocclusion unaesthetic smile involving excessive gingival absence passive lip seal. Results: This way, suitable functional aesthetic result was obtained correction exposure, sealing improved angulation mandibular plane. In addition to conventional cephalometric superimposition, three-dimensional superimposition performed evaluated validate outcome.Discussion: Although it does not replace surgery, such modality are willing undergo more invasive procedure.

One of the most important phases of oral health is the form and function of the oral mechanism. Recently, pediatric dentists are concerned with the obvious esthetic disabilities and the pathologic implications of the malposed teeth. Interceptive and functional orthodontic treatment is playing a major role in these discrepancies. Anchorage is an important consideration in orthodontics, particula...

متن کاملSkeletal versus conventional intraoral anchorage for the treatment of class II malocclusion: dentoalveolar and skeletal effects
BACKGROUND The purpose of this retrospective study is to investigate the dentoalveolar and skeletal effects of two distalizing protocols featuring different anchorage systems used in patients with class II malocclusion: the MGBM system (skeletal anchorage) and Pendulum (intraoral anchorage). METHODS The sample comprised 57 patients who were assigned to one of the two treatments: the MGBM grou...

متن کاملTreatment of a skeletal Class II malocclusion using fixed functional appliance with miniplate anchorage
Based on our literature search, we found that the use of miniplate anchorage with Forsus fatigue-resistance device (FRD) has not yet been reported. Therefore, the aim of the present case report was to present the treatment of a patient with skeletal Class II malocclusion with mandibular retrusion using Forsus FRD with miniplate anchorage. Fixed appliances with 0.022-inch slots were attached to ...
